The Periodontal Procedure

Brief Braces™

Most procedures are done simply with local anesthesia.  Many patients call this process ‘Novocain’.  A safe sedation can also be prescribed if the patient or doctor feels it is necessary.  This sedation will relax the patient, making the time pass quickly.  An antibiotic saturated, bone grafting material is placed under the gums through a few small incisions made by Dr. Albert.  The graft is placed only over the area where the supporting bone needs to be softened.

This creates the ability  to perform fast, easy and comfortable tooth movement. After straightening the teeth, the grafting materials will convert into the patient’s own supporting bone.

The newly formed supporting bone not only helps to hold the straightened teeth it also supports the lips.  This is an added benefit, preventing the sunken face appearance that can accompany aging.  The end result is a beautiful, prominent  smile for years to come.
