Modern Dentistry makes it possible to save many teeth that would have been lost only a few years ago. Through improved techniques and a better understanding of the diseases that effect teeth, gums and jawbones our patients can save most of their natural teeth. But we still haven’t eliminated tooth loss. Approximately 70% of all teeth that are lost fail because of periodontal infections. Accident, decay and tooth fracture account for most of the other missing teeth.
Some patients are unfortunately born with teeth missing or destroyed by childhood diseases.
